After various rumors circulating, finally the latest news says that this flagship smartphone from Vivo will soon be released globally in early 2023. This smartphone is the successor to the successor of the Vivo X80 Series. Previously, this smartphone was released exclusively in China in November 2022. This time, Vivo is ready to launch it on the world market. The news has been confirmed by a tweet on Twitter. The tweet contains the international debut date of the Vivo X90 Series, which is January 31, 2023. There are three variants that will be launched, namely Standard, Pro, and Pro+ variants. This is based on its first launch in China.

Vivo X90 Series Specifications

The Vivo X90 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, QHD Plus resolution, 1,300 nits brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit color support. This smartphone has a curved design on both sides. On the front, there is a punch-hole-shaped camera with a 32MP resolution. While on the back there are three cameras consisting of a 50MP main camera, 12MP Ultrawide, and 12MP telephoto.

While the Pro variant has a similar display and front camera. It’s just that the Pro variant has a slightly superior main camera, whereas the main camera has a resolution of 50.3MP. However, the other two cameras are the same as the standard variant.

In terms of battery, the standard variant has a large battery with a capacity of 4,810 mAh and supports 120W fast charging. The company claims the battery can be charged to 50% in just 8 minutes. It is suitable for those of you who can’t wait long for the battery to be full. Meanwhile, the Pro variant features 50W wireless charging.

In terms of performance, both use the Mediatek Dimensity 9200 chipset. The company claims this chipset is 35% faster and 45% more power efficient than the previous generation. Both also have RAM of up to 12GB, storage of up to 512GB, and a Vivo V2 image processing chip (ISP) to improve photo quality at night. Not only that, both of them also run the Android 13 operating system with the OriginOS 3 interface (UI).

For the price, the Vivo X90 sells for CNY 3,699 for the 8/128GB version and CNY 4,999 for the 12/512GB version. Meanwhile, the Vivo X90 Pro sells for CNY 4,999 for the 8/256GB version and CNY 5,999 for the 12/512GB version.

Of the three, the Pro+ variant is the most interesting. This is because the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC chipset. In addition, this smartphone has a main camera with 50MP resolution with a sensor from Sony IMX989, 48MP Ultrawide lens, 50MP telephoto, and 64MP periscope. While the front camera has a resolution of 32MP. Even this smartphone can record 8K at 30 fps.

From the front, this smartphone has a 6.7-inch screen with an AMOLED panel. The screen is curved with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of up to 1,800 nits. This makes this smartphone look even more premium.

Another interesting thing is the rear body of the smartphone which is wrapped in faux leather and is IP68 water-resistant. For durability, this smartphone has a battery capacity of 4,700 mAh and supports 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. This highest variant comes in two color choices, namely black and red. The Vivo X90 Pro+ sells for CNY 6,500 for the 12GB/256GB version and for the 12GB/512GB version it sells for CNY 7,000.
