Finally, the flagship smartphone that has been waiting for at the beginning of 2022 has been inaugurated. The smartphone is the OnePlus 10 Pro which was released in China on January 11. OnePlus today is arguably much different from before. Last year, they announced that they would be working with OPPO. This collaboration will combine the expertise of the designers of Oxygen OS & ColorOS. Providing the best UI & UX experience for smartphone users.
Unlike usual, this latest OnePlus does not have a non-Pro variant. The official had reported that there might be differences in the specifications of the Chinese variant with the global variant. One of them, in this release, is not stated if the OnePlus 10 Pro has a certain IP rating.
OnePlus 10 Pro Camera is Tougher
Previously, OnePlus had time to share a teaser if this smartphone uses the latest screen, namely LTPO 2.0. This type of panel is known to be energy efficient because it can adjust the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. This second generation is claimed to be more adaptive to adjust the content. It can save battery life of up to 1.7 hours.
The dimensions of the screen are 6.7 inches with 3D curved sides, 1440p resolution, and the screen ratio reaches 92.7%. For the front camera, this smartphone still uses a punch-hole type sensor with a resolution of 32MP belonging to Sony IMX615. While the setup of the three rear camera sensors is quite interesting. The main sensor has a 48MP resolution with large physical dimensions at 1/1.43 inch with large pixel size and IOS. The second sensor is a 50MP ultra wide-angle Samsung JN1 which is able to provide a maximum viewing angle of 150 degrees. And the third is an 8MP telephoto with 3.3x optical zoom and OIS. Plus there is a new mode, namely “XPan” which is devoted to video recording, in addition to other modes such as Dual Scene Recording.
Charging Only 32 Minutes
The performance of this smartphone will be very fast thanks to the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Combined with 12GB RAM options and 256GB internal storage of the UFS 3.1 type. The variant released in China will run ColorOS 12, and OnePlus claims its Hyperboost feature will be able to improve performance even further. There is also a cooling system with wider coverage, claimed to be around 55% of the size of an A4 sheet of paper.
Another improvement in this smartphone is a faster charging system. With a capacity of 5,000 mAh, this smartphone supports 80W Fast Charging via cable or wirelessly up to 50W using the technology AirVOOC OPPO. As a result, charging only takes 32 minutes & 47 minutes, respectively. This smartphone is also the first to be certified by TUV Rheinland for fast performance for up to 36 months of use.
Comes with two color choices, namely black and green with a surface made like Sandstone. The OnePlus 10 Pro price for the 8/128GB variant retails for $738.72. While the 12/256GB variant sells for $833.05. It can be pre-ordered in China on January 13th.
