Nokia X20 Launches, Relying on Snapdragon 480 5G Chipset

This year, HMD Global held an online event to launch their latest products. One of them is the Nokia X20. The Nokia X20 is not a flagship smartphone. HMD decided to use a new naming scheme. The C Series for the entry class, the G Series for the middle class, and the X Series which has premium features.

All newly launched Nokia smartphones have passed advanced endurance tests, said Ruben Lehmann, VP HMD Global European Region. Nokia wants its customers not to have to replace devices in a short span of time. Can last up to 3 years with software that is constantly updated on the security level.

HMD said that the Nokia X series has passed the test for 50 different types of endurance. Some of these are drop tests and scratch tests. It is claimed that it has reached the high endurance standards that have been applied for years.

Nokia X20 has a screen size of 6.67 inches which is Full HD + IPS. There is a punch-hole camera at the top center. The panel has a 60Hz refresh rate. In order to support 5G, HMD uses the cheapest and latest chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 480 5G. It’s fast enough because it uses the Kyro 460 Octa-Core CPU architecture. One of the interesting things is that HMD includes a case that has 100% recycled material.

There are 6 / 8GB RAM options and 128GB internal storage. It has a battery capacity of 4,470 mAh and supports 18W fast charging. For camera matters, HMD is working with ZEISS to improve the optical capabilities of the Nokia X20. It has 4 rear cameras, namely the main camera with 64MP resolution, 5MP Ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth camera. While the front camera has a resolution of 32MP that can use the Dual-Sight Multi-cam feature. This feature is able to record moments from two sides of the camera.

How About The Price?

The Nokia X20 will come in Midnight Sun and Nordic Blue color variants. Will be available globally in May. This smartphone is sold for around $415.34.
