Based on a leak from tipster L0vetodream, the iPhone 13 line will have a larger battery capacity. The battery capacity will be 18% larger than the iPhone 12. This increase in capacity is supposed to accommodate features that can waste battery life, such as the ProMotion display.

Apple does not disclose the battery capacity of the iPhone. But from the teardown done by iFixit, it is known that the iPhone 12 mini has a battery capacity of 2,227 mAh. While the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro have a battery capacity of 2,815 mAh. The Pro Max has a battery capacity of 3,687 mAh.

A leak from L0vetodream reveals the iPhone 13 mini will have a 2,406 mAh battery (up 8%). While the regular version and Pro versions will have a battery capacity of 3,095 mAh (up 10%). The Pro Max will have a battery capacity of 4,352 mAh (up 18%).

This isn’t the first time the iPhone 13 has been rumored to have a bigger battery. Renowned iPhone analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously reported that this phone will have a bigger battery and make the body heavier.

This battery capacity increase is rumored to be thanks to a new more efficient, and space-saving design. Like integrating the SIM card slot with the mainboard. In addition, Apple will also embed features that are more battery-intensive. It is likely that this phone will use ProMotion display technology and an always-on display. These two features will make the battery work harder and wasteful.

However, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are said to be using display technology LTPO to power the ProMotion screen. The combination of this technology with a larger battery capacity is likely to make the phone’s battery more efficient.
