Huawei usually releases two flagship smartphones every year, the P series and the Mate. The P50 Pro series was already showcased by Huawei when it released HarmonyOS. However, it is reported that the Huawei Mate 50 series will not be released to the public.
Huawei usually releases the P Series in the first half of every year. Meanwhile, the Mate series is released in the second half of every year. But now after showing off the P50, news has emerged that the Huawei Mate 50 series will not be released.
Huawei is reportedly forced to do this in order to focus its limited resources on the P50 family. If this news is true, then this is the first time Huawei has not released the Mate series since 2013. Even though this is actually understandable because of the great pressure they are facing. Plus the global shortage of chips is happening. Meet all smartphone manufacturers.
Previously, Huawei showed off the appearance of the P50 Pro when it released HarmonyOS. From the image shown on the presentation slide of Huawei’s CEO, Ren Zhengfei, it can be seen that the P50 Pro’s rear camera looks. Shows a very large, rounded rear camera module. Inside the two large circles are stored four cameras, namely three cameras on the top and 1 camera on the bottom.
The P50 Pro is expected to sport the largest camera sensor for a smartphone. Just like the sensor used in the Sharp Aquos R6 which was made in collaboration with Leica. Huawei is also confirmed to continue working with Leica in working on the P50 Pro camera. Although there are many rumors that say they will separate.
Ren Zhengfei mentioned that the P50 Pro will actually be released in the spring of 2021. However, they encountered many challenges in their release. He finally couldn’t confirm when the P50 Pro would be released.
