Finally, Asus has officially brought the latest generation to Indonesia, namely the Asus Zenfone 9. This smartphone brings increased specifications and superior features. As a successor, this smartphone has a Qualcomm System-on-Chip (SoC), namely Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Zenfone 9 comes with a size of 146.5 x 68.1 x 9.1 mm and weighs 169 grams. It has a 5.9-inch screen with a Full HD+ ratio supported by a 120Hz refresh rate. This phone has a brightness level of up to 800 nits. Using an AMOLED screen panel that has been protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus glass.

On the back, there are two cameras that are quite large. The two cameras are a 50MP main camera (Sony IMX766 sensor) and a 12MP Ultrawide camera (113 degrees, IMX363 sensor). This camera is equipped with a 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer to keep blur and shake-free when shooting or recording. In addition, the second camera supports macro photography and is accompanied by an autofocus feature. Capable of recording 4K/60fps video with real-time EIS and distortion correction and capable of recording macro photos with a focus of up to 4 cm. While on the front there is a selfie camera with 12MP resolution.

With this capability, the main camera will record objects without optical distortion or “anti-ghosting”. Plus an anti-shake algorithm in the Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) system. You can do manual settings for focus, ISO, shutter speed, EV, and white balance, as well as recording in RAW. Asus also provides a new feature, light trail mode. This feature allows users to use a manual shutter or do a preset shutter time to record moving objects.

For performance, Asus has embedded Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, namely Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This is combined with 5 to 16GB of LPDDR RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. There are 3 variants namely, 6/128GB, 8/256GB, and 16/256GB.

In addition to improvements in the chipset and camera, improvements can also be seen from the battery side. This smartphone has a battery capacity of 4,300 mAh. However, the supported fast charging technology is still at 30W.

This smartphone runs the Android 12 operating system which is polished with the ZenUI interface (UI). Already supports WiFi 6E connectivity to make connectivity faster and more stable. In contrast to flagship phones in general, the Zenfone 9 still has a 3.5 mm audio jack which is supported by Dirac and Snapdragon Audio technology for the highest variant. Not only that, this phone supports 5G, NFC, a fingerprint scanner integrated with the power button, water and dust-resistant.

Comes with 4 color choices, namely Midnight Black, Sunset Red, Moonlight White, and Starry Blue. The new 8/256GB variant will be available on the Indonesian market at the end of December 2022. Meanwhile, the 16/256GB variant is only available in black.
